It depends of what the cloth is made out of, but generally adding the highest dose of Oxy-Clean to the best laundry detergent you've got (not bleach) will work the best on oil
With that much Oxy, it may need an extra rinse
...actually, if it doesn't, you may not have put enough in lol

Another suggestion is either Gain, All or Tide in Powder Form, not liquid. The powder is much more fragrant, followed by a Downy or Snuggle rinse (original scents). My DH is a machinist and both him and my son work on their cars at times, so I always have oily smelling clothes to wash and I find these things helpful. You could try spraying some Fabreze on them, too.

Laundry experts have found that heavy duty liquid laundry detergent is the most effective for pre-treating and soaking clothing that has been exposed to grease, oil, and fuel. Soaking is the key. After soaking and washing a couple times or more if needed in hot water and detergent, hang to air dry, preferably outdoors, to allow fumes to dissipate. (Stains can be pretreated with detergent before soaking.) When dry and there is no more odor, rewash and dry as usual. Never place laundry that smells of fuel into dryer, as fumes tend to be flammable and volatile.
Oxy-Clean and other oxy-whatever products are oxygenating bleaches (peroxides) and tend to be ineffective for removal of engine oil and fuel oil odors.

I kind of consider myself an expert at laundry after washing greasy, smelly clothes for some 30 years :D ;) and I still stand by my answer regarding powders, as far as smells go. Actually the best liquid for getting rid of oil and grease stains are dishwashing liquids, since they contain special grease cutters.

lol....
Liquids may be better for soaking
Powders are better for cleaning
Adding Oxy-Clean may work better on grass stains, but it's the best I've found for oil and fuel odors and stains also
It may not be the most effective (the detergent alone is definitely not), but it's not ineffective that's for sure
I've been using it for years on fuel/oil/grease work clothes
Much better than with no additive on those things
