ok i bought a mainstays home 3 head floor lamp but the pole was place on wrong at the factory so i had to disconnect the wires to fix it, ya someone knows where i'm going, i forgot to write down what wire connected to what :wall: . if anyone can help heres the set up.
from the lamp heads there is 3 white and 3 black wires one of each color for each head, from the switch area theres 1 red 1black and 1 blue and lastly from the socket itself the black wire that splits into 2

I presume that with the multi color wires at the switch, with each click of the switch you can energize more and more bulbs to come on.
But what I don't quite follow in your post is the fact that you say you have a black and white wire for each head...which makes sense. But then at the end of your post you say you have a black wire that splits into 2 at the socket? THE socket? WHICH "the socket"? Doesn't each head have a socket?
Please clarify the difference between what you call a "head" and what you call a socket. And name the number of sockets and the number of total black wires that spit into 2 and where this split is exactly. Be very precise in your explanation of things.
