Solid Hardwood, Engineered and Laminate Flooring - How to Add the Shine Back to Touch Up Spots in Laminate Flooring

We have got one spot right in the middle of the floor where there was a small chip in one of the boards on the end right at the seam of two boards. I found some of acrylic filler that matches really well, and when you are looking straight down on the spot you can not tell it is there. However, when you are looking at it from a distance, with the light reflecting off of the floor, the spot is noticable, due to the lack of shine. Is there anything that I can do to put that kind of finish over the acrylic spot? Thanks for any ideas?

Clear fingernail polish. Then if it is too shiney, lightly buff it with a pencil eraser. :thumbup:

Sounds great. I will give it a try. If the spot was not right in the middle of the room, I would not even bother with it. Everytime I walk from the kitchen into the living room, with the sun shining in through the front windows and doors, the spot stands out like a sore thumb.

I have not had a chance to do this yet. I was busy this weekend getting my quarter round painted and ready to put throughout the house. But when I do get to it, is there any better way to apply the fingernail polish. The brush will leave brush strokes, and I was thinking about using one of those sponge type applicators that come on a stick and has a point. Thanks for your help Carpets Done Wright...

there won't be brush strokes. it levels itself out.
