I have already tiled, but have not grouted yet. This is a kitchen backsplash.
I know you need to caulk where tile meets tile (corner of my backsplash). Now do I caulk where the tile meets the counter (laminate) and the cabinets (more laminate) or do I grout those joints. For where it meets the counter, I'm sure I have to caulk there, but do I make sure there is no grout in that location? Thanks for any advice. My tiling book has good pictures but I don't see these questions addressed. I plan on using the special caulk which is the exact same color as my grout.

Yes. You caulk those areas.
I've found that when doing separate materials like that, you can even get away with that line being a white or other "normal" caulk and it will look fine. Gives it a separation. That's a personal preference, I hate working with sanded caulk.

What is sanded caulk? I knew you could get caulk that matches the grout. I wondered why they asked whether I was using sanded or unsanded grout when I called the tile store to inquire it they had the matching caulk in stock. If I used sanded grout, does that mean I must use "sanded caulk"? I plan on getting the caulk on Saturday.
