How can I remove the white powdery spots from my old window screens, or is it time to replace them? Thank you.
I've tried most cleaners but nothing works. Thanks for your assistance.

Do you know what the white powdery spots are from? Did you take the screen completely off?
You probably tried it already, but take the screens off if you haven't and use soap and water and scrub w/a soft bristle brush. Let it soak in first.
Without knowing what that white powdery spot is...it's hard to say. If it's powdery, shouldn't it be easy to remove? Just curious...

The spots appear to corrosion (oxidation?) of the aluminum screens. The screens although quite old are in good shape but they probably should be replaced.
I have already had the screens out in my yard and scrubbed them but the spots where the white powder was remains stained and the screens look junky.
Thanks for your help.

There are jelly (gel) aluminum corrosion removers to remove oxidation from aluminum screens and frames.
