I am having a problem with the flapper, after flushing flapper wants to drift to the left when closing, if I reach in and shift flapper over no leaking. What is making the flapper drift over?

Help,

abasicperson, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Most flappers have little "ears" that hold them to the overfow pipe. This prevents the flapper from drifting. Are you sure your new one didn't have the ear or the option to just slide down the overflow tube. Some come for either installation and you have to remove the round part before installation. Good luck.

You were right! One of the tabs had broken off and it was pulling flap over when closing. Will get new one. Thank you very much
