i have a Air ease gas forced air furnace that the humidifire don't work i was told it did not when we moved in (15 years ago) this thing is weird there is a copper tube that runs from the water heater to the furnace to a faucet on the furnace the water than drips? down into a spoon shaped collecter witch goes inside the furance i was told that i should replace it that it probly don't work thats why it was removed from the water heater it was conected to the old water heater but was not reinstalled ho do i install it if even possible or do i buy an after market one for the furnace here are some picks if it can be fixed how do you gain access to it the humidifire is located inside the big square duct ontop of the furnace anyone seen one like this.

nevermind i got the answers i need it does not work and to reconnect it i would need a plumber + who knows what lays behind the duct i don't want to just pour water in incase theres a pan inside the duct that leaks and then that would cause rust in the heat exchanger and that would be VERY BAD i'll just get by with a portible humidifire thats sits in the living room that works well just wanted to see if it was possible to repair the furnace one
