I discovered water trapped in the drain hose from the airgap to the garbage disposal. It was clogged and there was a very strong smell/odor. I removed the hose, cleaned it, and put it back.

When I check the cabinet, I noticed the same kind of odor.

I did a search on this forum and there was a user who had the same problem. A moderator suggested using an enzyme deoderizer, but the user never posted back if that worked or how he/she got rid of the odor.

Here's what I used so far with no luck:

For the hose:
vinegar and baking soda (pour through the airgap),
bleach and water.

For the cabinet:
lysol sprayed around the garbage disposal and drain pipes,
a pet enzyme odor removal,
bleach and water.

I searched on the Internet and found these products:

odormedic, expel odor neutralizer, odorxit, and zorbx.

Each product claims to permanently remove many odors.

My question: has anyone use one of these products and what is the result?

Thank you very much for any suggestions.

It is likely the odor penetrated the wood of the cabinets. If airing the cabinet out and cleaning with any of the products you metioned fails to completely remove the odor, sealing the inside of the cabinet may be your best bet.

some of the wood found in cabnets..depending on the quaility can be inexpensive particle board...this absorbs moisture and odors like you wouldnt believe..check for water damage from old leaks seal or replace as suggested
