I have a 40 pint Danby dehumidifier, about 5 years old. This year the fan is making a lot of noise and sounds like it is hitting something. I took the cover off and checked the fan. When the fan was removed and turned on it ran perfectly and quietly. I could not see any marks on the fan or the housing where it might be hitting. When I put the fan back in it and spin it by hand there is no noise but when I turn it on the noise is back. I cannot see it hitting anywhere. Any suggestions?
