Let's see if I can explain this: There was a desk attached the wall in my house. Handy man removed it & lots of the plaster came off the wall with it. MOST of the other plaster is not adhered to the wallboard. I WAS planning to use joint compound to fill it in, but I think all the plaster needs to be removed & to start all over. I can provide pictures. Any suggestions? Thank you/Jina

Pictures would help.
Is it plaster over lath, blue board with plaster veneer or drywall?

I dont think its blueboard as I believe the plaster would adhere better to blue board. Where can I send pictures? Thanks/Jina

I am not very tech savy but I think most use photobucket [?]
I don't do any plaster work but there are those who frequent this forum that do, so I'm sure you can get good advice from them.
If all the plaster is loose on that wall can you remove it all and treat it like sheetrock?
