I turned on my kitchen faucet the other day and the water flow was normal for the first few seconds then the water flow dropped considerably. This continues to happen on both the hot and cold water but not at any other faucet or shower in the house. Any ideas what I should look for?

Thanks for any help,
Steve

I presume by "continues"... that it always comes out full blast at first and then peters out, even in the mix position? Yet it don't do it anywhere else? Are you certain at least the hot isn't petering out on some other fixture?

Have you tried removing the aerator to see if something is floating around inside? It would have to be floating around to be doing that weird good pressure going to bad pressure thing.

I have low pressure problem in my kitchen sink also, but it is only the hot water. Cold is fine. It is only at that faucet and is constant (it never increases in pressure). It has separate hot and cold (not one that "mixes" depending on where you push it). I don't know where to start and hate to pull things apart if that isn't the problem.
