Every year I go into a fight with sticker bushes and berry trees [I don't know what their real names are] and there are more of them. I've tried Ortho's ground clear but it seem to make them mad, anybody have an idea of what will kill them?

roundup brush killer applied after fruiting if you can. plant is weaker then and fully leaved. in my garden area i just kept pulling them out from the soil. you could just go out to the patch and proclaim you adoration for berries. they would surely shrivle up and die. :D

Key words here are Brush Killer and most any brand will do.These are formulated to kill woody plants and what you describe qualify.Remember that any shrubs, trees etc will be impacted if they are also sprayed.Broadleaf weed killers will not kill these types of plants though it may effect them.

To prevent damage to desirable plants near the wood-stemmed weeds, brush on the brush killer rather than spray it.
