Have a GE top loading washer..everything is working but wont drain it starts to spin but water is not going out so it shuts off....Going to open it up and look but dont know what I'm looking for...any help thanks

stoogesrule, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I am not the expert here but can suggest what the problem is. The pump is located on the bottom right hand side and is bolted to the base. It has it's own motor. Disconnect the power before doing anything. Remove the hose(s) and see if anything is plugging them (it). Try to turn the shaft on the pump by hand. This is most likely where your problem lies. Watch this post for the expert opinions also. Good luck.

took apart...there was something in there....the fan moves freely now....going to try and see if it works...brb
