Greetings all,

I'm a new homeowner, and new to the do-it-yourself world. Yesterday we installed all new laminate in our living room (yay!), and now have the hard work of finishing the room to get it looking great. I'll be installing quarter-round around the baseboards.

But the transitions seem more problematic. I've read tons of instructions, but can't find the answer to one, very simple, question: how do I actually cut the metal strip for my transition? Tools I have available are a table saw and a coping saw. All of the directions I have seen say simply "cut" without saying how. Suggestions?

Thanks!

Tin Snips work great. depeding on the way the snips are facing one edge will have a slight curl to it. just practice on a long piece and youll see how they work.
