DSC Power Series 433 Master Reset, Bought a house with @ prior owner does not remember Master Code (Manual Indicates DSC Power Series/Envoy LCD).
From the Companies Web Site the LCD Panel looks like the 5501.
I called the DSC from work and them seemed like they would help but when I get home DSC closed (they wanted to walk me through in front of it).
In the meantime is their a way to reset the master password without nuking the settings too.? The unit is in Ready mode and does announce/beeb when opening doors. The House is from 2004. The Manual has 2003 copyright. I found essentially the same manual on line as a PDF with a 2005 date.
Thanx

The only way to reset the master code. Is with the existing master code or the installer code. Only other way is to default the panel to factory.

Are you sure about that model? Could it be Power 432?
(The actual model number will be PC580)
In any case: If the default installer code [0580] has never been changed, you can change the master code from the programming level. If not, the only other recourse is a hardware default, short of a lucky guess at the correct code.
