I just had a complete Goodman system installed at my home.
Whenever the air conditioner turns on, the freon tubes rattle/sqeak loudly and almost constantly and even rattled throughout my vents.
The installer said this is due to the freon expanding at the coils, and that my freon pipes are pretty long, me being on the second floor and my compressor being on the ground level.
but I have never heard of this before (I mean actually heard it with my own ears while sitting on someones couch!). What could be the real cause and what can be done to alleviate the problem?
My Goodman set up:
80% Furnace GMS80453ANA
13 SEER CRT 18-1 compresser
Cased Coil CAPF1824A6

unfortunatly Goodman will sell their equipment to anyone. whether or not they're qualified to install it. call them back ....he's full of sh!t. was he the lowest bidder by chance?:confused:
