old craftsman push mower... 3.8hp 20"cut

it ran fine last year until i washed it off.

now it only runs if i pump the primer bulb once started.

i took the air cleaner off and tried it, that didn't help it.

any suggestions?..... thanks.

Sounds like you may have gotten water in the carb. I'd try a quick carb cleaning, take it off and apart and blow it out (through any holes you may see) with carb cleaner and compressed air.
