Greetings:
I also want to build a low retaining wall to match a flagstone patio that was just professionally installed over a freshly poured slab of concrete. However, this time I want to do it. I saw the earlier posting on building a retaining wall. My guess is that I lay a couple of rows of block and apply concrete to the block to which I affix the flagstone while still wet? I should also pretty much follow your directions for everything else? For the top I will cut rectangular pieces with a wet saw. Am I on the mark or nuts.....?

Alright now that we've established the status of my mental state, please elaborate on why my idea is bad....? Instead of a brick facade I'm looking for a stone look. How is it done?

It is not easy or a DIY project, that is why I said you would be nuts to attempt it.

Ok thanks....guess I'll go to plan B which is the stackable stone that everyone is using these days.....looks a helluva lot easier anyway.

Those do make nice walls, and they are very doable. Good choice!
