My shower door opening is 59 7/8".
I want to replace the existing "accordian style" door with a glass door which a friend gave to me. However, the frame for this glass door is only 58" wide at the base and top.
My question is: What can I use to fill in that 1 7/8" gap and how do I go about doing it to insure a tight fit? Thank you in advance.

You could have a metal fabricator mill you some 13/16" aluminum billets to go on the ends of the top frame, with a center screw hole into the wall, and then install the top frame. But what are you going to do with the width of the door? If it is small as well, you may have to install 13/16" filler strips on either end of the shower door opening vertically and then install the new door.
