is it worth putting a window A/C in a detached garage that has no drywall just the beams and celing rafters i have a celing fan installed to bring the heat form the rafters down and a fan in the window to blow the heat out is it worth putting a window unit in a detached garage or should i just stay inside in the summer i like to do lots of small engine repairs in the garage is it worth it.

If you got one big enough it would cool down. If you're in there a lot you may want to consider insulating and finishing it.

Like Matt said not if you dont put insulation in it. Get a good fan to blow on you. When your out there. Or try a hvac shop and see if you can get an old furnace blower to use . They work great for that.

ED my .02 cents ;)
