I want to pour a concrete mowing strip along my lawn. I would like to do it myself but do not where to start. I want strip to be about 6 inches wide, curving at places and little bit below the lawn surface so that lawn mower does not missing edges.

All ideas are welcome.

Thx

Can you use pavers instead? There will be a gap if you have small radius curves but usually this is not objectionable.

Making a concrete mow strip requires skill to smooth it. Putting in pavers is also hard work but very little skill is required.

If your dead set on using concrete I suggest you get a basic concrete book from the home center. Too many details to spell it all out here. A mow strip is really no different than a footer except that you would adjust the finished height, radius the edges and you should not use a footing type concrete because it cannot be smoothed. Things that might be unique to a mow strip or that might not be obvious -

If you're up against an existing concrete wall you probably want to use a fiberous expansion strip.

You can make curved forms using benderboard or ripped plywood.

You probably want to put in control joints to hide the inevitable cracks.
