I have a Tempstar gas furnace; model NUGE105KG02 (867.768031); it was installed in 1989. The exhaust blower cycles on (when commanded by the remote theromstat), runs for 3-4 minutes, but the burners do not ignite. The blower/furnace then shuts down. After one or more of these cycles, the sequence is repeated, but the burners ignite, and the heating cycle operates in a normal manner. Any suggestions on the cause of the no-ignite sequence would be appreciated.

Not being familiar with this particular model off the top of my head I need answers to a couple of questions. Is the igniton system spark to pilot then main burners or is there a glow before ignition (hot surface ignition)?
