So, forgive me as this is the first home I've owned with a gas furnace.

I've turned the heat off for the year (hopefully).

1. Do I need to turn off the pilot light somehow or not?

2. Is there any specific maintenance to do this summer?

3. Are replacement boiler/gas furnace cheaper during the summer since there's less business (mine is old and has a small crack in it so it probably needs replacing)

Thanks

if' there is a crack, shut her done, and plan on getting a new equipement.

Summer can be cheaper, but it can be busy with A/C service calls.

call around and get a few bids, and see if they have any rebates going on. Lot of the 90% system you can get a tax credit, also on central air.
