Hi,
Last year, at the end of the season, I noticed that when I had our central A/C turned on and the fan set to "auto", the compressor turned on fine when it was supposed to, but the fan never turned on. I could set the fan to "on" and it would turn on just fine. Since it was the last hot day of the year, I kinda forgot about it.
During the winter, everything worked fine. Furnace would come on when it was supposed to and the fan at "auto" would blow when it was supposed to also. But just the other day it stopped coming on automatically. Again, I can turn it to "on" and it'll blow fine, but at "auto" the fan never comes on.
Is this a thermostat thing? Or a is there a relay switch somewhere I need to replace?
Thanks in advance!
Michael

Sounds like the stat went south on you. You can keep it in the on position until you get a new stat.
