Just had an addition poured onto my patio. As you can imagine the two pads look completely different. Even after pressure washing the 30 year old concrete still has a little more brown tint to it. I realize the new concrete will continue to white out as it cures and ages, and I wonder if a stain with colorant could help bring the two closer in color. Not looking for a perfect match,just so they don't look completely different.

Let the new slab age about 15 ywears and nobody will ever know that they weren't poured at the same time. Short of acid washing it all and painting it, that's the only way!

Try a tinted sealer or look into stains, Everything can be fixed

Don't do anything until you have given the new concrete better chance to get close to it's ultimate color (couple of months).

A stain will help the mask any difference, but wait since the new concerete will continue to change.
