With the house purchase last Summer, we had a home warranty cover with AHS, we just receive their marketing letter re. the new DOE 13 SEER standard with an offer for enhanced coverage (plus premium).

This is shown to be:
-to present repair/replacement solutions that include compatibility matching of the inside and outside components of the system for improved efficiency.
-to provide for transition costs such as drain lines, plenum, transitions, duct connections and electrical modifications for covered items, as required for a 13 SEER upgrade.

Has anyone got any experience with this kind of marketing offer?
What does it involve?
Is it worth paying the extra premium?
Is it worth continuing with home warranty?

my Advise, don't even bother with the AHS warranity. They are bad for paying dealers doing the jobs, and also want CHEAP!

The company I used work for delt with them, and told them to get lost. I know alot of service company don't like them.

My advise, is if you do get a new equipement, get the extended warranity or service plan though them.
