My oil company is going to install a new fuel line between my oil tank and furnace.
How will the oil company remove the old fuel line? It's 8 feet long and wrapped inside a sheath that runs beneath the concrete floor (in the basement).
I assume there's oil inside the old fuel line. How will they drain the oil before removing the line itself?

It really is the problem of the oil company. ;) Most likely they will abandon it in place and then simply cap the ends. They may cut the line at the level of the floor and put some kind of sealant in the end.
As far as the fuel in the line they will most likely have a small pump of some kind, it may be nothing more than a slurp gun, to remove the small amount of oil.

They will blow out the line with a hand pump or small air compressor then, as Furd said, seal the ends, leaving the old line in place.
