I just installed a Lynx system for my parents with a spare panel and one key fob remote. I worked with them on arming/disarming the system with both the key fob and panel. The other day my dad set the alarm with the key fob and left. When my mom and the kids returned later, one of the kids opened the door before my mom reached the house and tripped the alarm. When she went to disarm with the keypad, she couldn't?? She then went to the main panel and still couldn't disarm. It was not until my dad return with the key fob the alarm with disabled. I can arm the system with the key fob and disarm with the panel, but once the alarm is tripped you can not do anything with the panel? Is this right, or is there a setting I can change. If the alarm is set with the panel and tripped, I can disarm with the key fob so I think it can be done.
Thanks, Rick

You are not, perchance, trying to use the installer code as an arm/disarm code? The installer code will arm and disarm the system, but will not disarm if any other code (or device) was used to arm the system.
There is also a "baby sitter" code (#7) that behaves the same way.

We are using the installer code??? That's why I was wondering if the key fob set with a different code.

If the code you are trying to use is the same one that will put it into program mode, then yes, you are trying to use the installer code.
