Can anybody tell me how to program my DSC Power 832 panel to detect water. I have ordered a water float switch for my sump pit. I would like know what program defenition i need, plus what program output for my pc5208. Can it be programmed to activate in an armed & unarmed state?
Thanks

Yes there is a setting in a 832 for water. It will activate the system wether its armed or not. Not sure why you need the 5208 though. What brand is it you ordered?

There are a couple of zone types that you can use, depending on what you want the panel to do. The waterflow zone was designed for firesprinkler flow switches, and creates an audible alarm.
The supervisory zone types only sound the keypad. The output can be linked to either type.
If you are just trying to activate a relay or the like if this zone is tripped, you don't need the 5208 board, the panel has two programmable outputs out of the box that will probably do what you want.
If you already have the 5208, those outputs program the same way.
What, specifically, are you trying to have the system do?
