I have an eight year old WeatherMaker 8000™ that has developed a problem. It fails to run correctly. I have run the diagnostics on the unit an it flashes the 11 code which means nothing is wrong. After sealing it up and invoking a heat cycle it flashes 31 which is part of the Draft safeguard system. I have checked to ensure the flue top is open but have yet to verify the remaining exhaust pipe. I was hoping for a few additional suggestions that I may be able to try while up on the metal roof or under the house. Well, the pipe is all clear. The inducer motor is turning and the vacuum controlled switch appears to be functioning correctly. Any help would be appreciated on this one.

Thanx again,

adam

Did you check the venting to make sure it's clear?

Check the pressure switch hose, blow on the end taken off of the pressure switch.

I removed the pressure switch hose and it is free and clear. The problem persists. I spoke to a local Carrier service tech and he thinks it is the draft inducer motor. I have ordered that and the pressure switch from furnace.com and hope to have them tomorrow.

The problem was the draft inducer motor. swapped it out and all is well. Thank you everyone.
