Re: Matching Heil furnace with Heil recommended (cased) A-coil unit

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea where I can find the Heil model
# for the Heil-recommended (cased) A-coil unit to mount
on a Heil furnace model N8MPN075B12B1??

I have run searches and searches and about all I've found
is that ICP specs are a hideous mess ...

Thanks,
Puddin'

the coil is actually matched to the condenser. the case is matched to the furnace. what is the issue?

Yes, both are supposed to match per mnfgr. specs.

The A-coil case is flush on one side, hangs over a bit
on the other side, and is mounted somewhat akilter.

Any idea where I can find the matching specs????

About 1/4 ".

Might there be any (any? ANY??) chance that you could
respond to the original query ??? I'll assume not until
you yield evidence to the contrary.

1/4"??.......time to step away from your furnace.

as stated before...the evap coil is matched to the condenser. it has nothing to do with the furnace. you can get a cased 3 ton evap in 17" or 20". see.... they are still a 3 ton evaps just different case widths. you can't call Heil and say "i have a 75k btu furnace what sized cased coil do i need?"

You can't call Heil (ICP) and ask for so much as the time
of day. It's just not "What They Do In Life".

Heil eqpt installed 3-14-06:

Furnace: N8MPN075B12B1

10 SEER Condenser: NAC024AKC3

Cased Evaporator Coil: EPD24B15C2

All 3 components are *supposed* to meet mnfr's
specs for being integrated into a single residential
system.

If you are not aware that cased A-coils are indeed
made to properly fit given furnace model #s,
please, please do not further respond in this
thread.

puddin.......... don't tell me what i know. i could and do install these things for a living. you obviously can't. ok..you obviously have a 2 ton system. first time YOU mentioned the size. is it 14" or 16" wide? either way it's 24k btus of cooling. why do you think it's mismatched? what is your question? what's your problem? is it working? you had about 10 threads before you got this thing. now it's gonna be 10 more? you're worried about a quarter inch? call Heil and see if they make a evap coil a quarter inch smaller....just for you.:wall: <--gotta be your contractor.

I didn't. But you demonstrated ...

>i could and do install these things for a living. you
>obviously can't.

Sho'ly. Sho'ly. Could that be the problem?

>ok..you obviously have a 2 ton system.
>first time YOU mentioned the size.

I was dealing only with model #'s ...

>is it 14" or 16" wide?

Supposed to be 15 1/2.

>either way it's 24k btus of cooling. why do you think it's
>mismatched?

I told you. It doesn't fit properly.

>what is your question?

Kindly read the lead query in this thread.

>what's your problem?

Right now it appears to be you.

>is
>it working? you had about 10 threads before you got this
>thing. now it's gonna be 10 more?

No way. Check your arithmetic.

>you're worried about a
>quarter inch? call Heil and see if they make a evap coil a

I'm worried about a sloppy install. But there aren't any
sloppy installs (in your world). Are there? Are there?? Are
there??? :-)

Some folks respond with answers.

Some folks respond without addressing the query,
just to be responding.

Some folks respond with implied or explicit malice.
