I'm installing kronotex easy lock II in my hallway. The problem is, i can't install it parallel with the longest wall. If i cut about 9 inches off of the length of the board, it fits the width of the hallway perfectly. So there are no joints in the first row.How should i go about staggering the boards for the second row? Should I just cut the next board in half and go from there?

Stagger so that no end joint is closer than about six inches.

You need staggered butt joints to keep the integrity on a floating installation. On hallways I use a full board, then a left side butt joint, full board then a right side, full board then a center joint. The center joint is optional depending on how wide the hallway is. Do not have two full boards together. I realize this seems silly and involves more work but it maintains the integrity of the entire floor.

Hallways and closets are where I earn my money.
