Help! Ever since i moved into my flat i have noticed that the paint in the hallway has started to bubble up. I think the problems is that the bit of wall it is happening on backs onto the bathroom and the bathtub. I have peeled of all the paint and it seems the previous owners haver just painted straight onto normal plaster board, alot of which look dry and has flaked away. Is there something i need to treat the plaster with before i repaint it?

Welcome to the forums

First you need to make sure there is no moisture passing thru the wall. Then sand/scrape and repair as needed. Once the repairs are made you can prime and paint.

95% of paint bubbling is caused by moisture under the paint, if the source is not dried up it may reoccur.
