i have a really cheap funky hollow wood bedroom door. somebody broke into my room over spring break by kicking the door open. there isn't too much damage to the door, but there are some cracks along the edge. what would be the best way of repairing it? would i be better off replacing the door? i'm pretty broke, and i'm just a renter, but have to get my deposit back!!!
any advice would be muchly appreciated.

Not knowing the full extent of the damage, it would be difficult for me to advise about repair vs. replacement. If someone kicked in the door, there is more damage than you expect, and it may need replacing. Is the door frame intact, or did they split it as well? In most cases, the frame is damaged around the striker plate area.
