My gas/radiator furnace has about 30lbs. pressure in it. How do I lower it to 15 or so? The problem started when I replaced the incoming pressure reducer fill valve, which the last service guy said was in backwards, and the system had no pressure. Thanks!

YIKES.

Turn off the feeder now and bring the pressure down to about 12 to 15 psi.

What brand/model valve do you have on there? Some has a screw that you can set the pressure.

Let water out to bring down the pressure.

This would be a good time to exercise the pressure relif valve and make sure it is still working. It should open on its own at 30psi.
