Hello - I'm re-doing my basement and the ceiling is quite low in places. I know that I can cut a pre-hung door from the bottom, but then the door knob is pretty low. Are there doors that you can buy without the door knob hole, or is there a way around making that look dumb?

Actually, excluding prehung doors, most doors are sold without holes (actually it's normally called "bore"). So you can indeed buy a door without holes. If you are getting a door that is prehung to a frame, if your door is shorter than normal the prehung would be custom made, with or without the hole.
