I will be replacing my window unit soon. I had an ac with heat pump, but really hated it because it got too hot...we were either freezing or burning up! Since that is the room's only source of heat, will a heat strip do the job, or should I go with a heat pump again? I have no idea of the differences in the two. I am heating/cooling approx. 550 sq. ft., and live in South Texas, so we really don't have much of a winter anyway. Thanks so much for your help!
