I need to install a new shower receptor over concrete slab in my basement. I set the base temporarily on top to check for level and it is not. As I stand on it, it will rock back and forth. Concrete base seems to be built up slightly around the rough in. I started chipping away at the concrete to try and level it but then realised that all feet need to be sitting directly on the concrete subfloor. Im wondering if I should stop w/the chipping away and just set the base in a mortar bed. Interested in what you all think... Thanks
