Hi, I found some water under the water heater on the floor. does it need to be replaced or is there a fix for it? thanks

bobbyv, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Check around the inlet, outlet and pressure relief valve for any signs of a leak from the threads. These could be worked on. If it is the tank leaking, time for a new unit. Good luck.

Like majakdragon is saying, you have to find out WHERE the leak is coming from before you can know the proper way to fix it. Spending $400 to replace the WH isn't needed it a $15 supply line is what's leaking. Conversely, replacing a $15 supply line will not do a thing to stop the leak if the tank is really what's leaking.
