I have got my 8mm flooring on the way and can't wait to get started on this project. My wife and I are going to be replacing all the flooring in our home with this stuff. I ama little stumped with how to best handle the transition between the new flooring and an exterior door. Are you suppose to undercut the door frame of exterior doors too? And if so what do you do about the threshold that seals against the bottom sweep on the door? Thanks for any advice...

Use an endcap molding, sometimes called a carpet reducer. It has the profile of an L shape(turn the L on its side to see what I'm saying)

Thanks for the reply. Do I need to under cut the exterior door frame from on the inside and feed the laminate underneath, or will the end molding come out and blend the floor to the door frame? Otherwise I don't see how the blend will occur between the new flooring and the frame of the door.

Yes, cut the door frame trim and sometimes a little bit of the threshold, or your going to have a tiny gap. Then once you cut the length, round the corners, so it looks good.

Thanks again for your help. I can't wait to see how the floor turns out.
