need some info on my ge 40 gal. electric water heater. noticed that the pressure releif valve was leaking water so i replaced it with a new one but to no avail it leaked again, i then replaced both upper and lower thermostats thinking maybe that would be the problem. but nope it still leaked. i then checked the heating element(anode) for continuity and both were allright. i'm at a stand still and don't know what else to do,some one told me it could be an internal short somewhere but i don't know about that
I have never had this problem before and i've been here for 30 years please any info. will be greatly appreciated.:o :madhell:

It sound like a pressure problem. Get a gauge and check your house pressure. If your PRV has failed, that could be the reason the TP is lifting.,
