I am a bit confused in regards to the Canadian fire codes, so hope someone can help me out a bit.
The code reads "Windows shall provide an unobstructed opening of no less than 380 mm (15") in either height or width and 0.35 sq . m. (3.77 sq. ft.) in area."
I am planning on using casement windows.
These are the windows I have in the bedrooms :
1- 24" X 60"
2- 24" X 48"
3- 24" x 24"
4 - 24" x 24"
How do I calculate the unobstructed opening in these windows? I think I might have to change the basement windows to casement with Egress and make them 32" high.
