I bought a home and it has a furnace mounted Kenmore 3000 central humidifier. I cleaned her up and decided to try and get it working. I don't think it is and have a couple of questions.
1. When I put it in "test", what should I expect to see.
2. If the system is indeed not working, are parts still readily available or should I consider a new system.
Thanks.

You try to do the test when the furnace itself is running?
You should hear a click, and water flowing when you turn it to test.
(I don't know if this a flow though or standing water?)
If you have a meter, may want to check and see if you are getting 24 volts at the valve. (or motor if drum style)
What's the full model #?

Thanks. I'll have to look for the full model number.
It is of the standing water variety. When I put it to test, I don't really see anything happening but I don't think the furnace was running. I 'll try again tonight with the furnace running and see if it does anything.

Could be if wired right you can turn the furnace blower on and the humidifier should come on if calling for humidity. Also go to sears.com they shold have parts and the paper work on it.AS to how it works
