I moved into a house with a Culligan Mark 100 water softener and need help figuring out the proper settings as follows:
1. What is the appropriate hardness level for Clinton, Iowa? (Eastern Iowa)
2. Suggestions for salt dosage, backwash time, and brine rinse time
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

You need to have your water tested so the correct settings can be determined.
or ...
You might want to call the local Culligan people and say HI, you just moved in. They might come out and fix you up for a minnimum charge just to establish themselves with you.
