Hi:
At Lowe's, I saw a perfect freezer as for 'spare freezer' that
our family need in our med.-sized garage.

This small-sized freezer is 7.0 Cu.Ft. Chest Freezer.
It says, ... 'estimated yearly operating cost is : $22.96
However, I felt this cost is awful cheaper in comparison to other electrical
gadgets, such as Microware of which electrical power is 1100 watts.

Wonder what wattage this freezer, 7.0 Cu. Ft. using?

Also, I plan to set this freezer at the corner of the Garage, then it
needs a 6 ft. extension cord.
What form of extension cord do I need for this, 7.0 CU. FT. Freezer?

Thanks for your help in advance.

An air conditioner extension cord would work. They also call them a major appliance cord which is essentially the same thing. 6 or 9 foot lengths are common.

Hi:
Thanks for your response.

When I looked more carefully inside the Garage, an extension cord
seems more than 9 ft. More likely 12 ft.

Since the wattage/electrical power sounds 'minor,' then can I use
the extension cord(thick type) designed for those heavy-electrical tools?

Thanks, ...

I dont see any reason why that shouldnt work.
The cord would need to be 14 to 12 guage wire.
16 would be too small.

pinecone,

since you are there at lowe's, buying the freezer, ask them, they will be able to make up a extension
cord perfectly designed for your needs, no muss, no fuss, and as easy as that.
