We have a great new house BUT.. a horrible olg gas fire & hearth, which is ancient....., I would like to remove the fire and cut out a rectangular hole & put a little downlighter inside, make it more of a feature than a fiasco. Im fed up with the stroppy builder, dragging his heels,so I want to do it myself. Does anyone have any tips as the best way to do it, and also the easiest way to cap off the gas pipe.
Any help would be so much appreciated, If I get the idea of what Im doing I'll post up before/during/after pics...
