I drained my hot water tank yesterday afternoon, and now when I flush the toilet, the pipes make a loud squeaking noise. They didn't do this before I drained the tank. Any help is appreciated.
It seems to do so when the hot water in the bathroom runs, too. I'll have someone else here to listen in the basement while I flush/run water, etc. to find out exactly where the sound is coming from. Weird.

I cannot imagine anything connected with draining the WH that would affect the cold water lines. Usually squeaking pipes are the hot water lines expanding and contracting with temperature changes. The squeaking is usually caused by the pipes expanding and rubbing against studs in the wall. Good luck.
