I just installed a new, electric, water heater and now I notice that the hot water appears to be foamy. It almost looks as though it has soap suds in it. Do they put something in the tank to cause this and if so, will it eventually clear itself out? There is nothing else noticeable about the water, just that foam. Thanks,,,, pear4710

Run some water in a glass and let it sit a while. If the bubbles go away and the water is pretty clear, it is probably air trapped in the lines from the new installation. Should go away quickly.
