We are planning to light our roping arena which is 150' X 300'. We are thinking of using 1500 watt halogen quartz lights wired up at 240 on 20ft. poles. If we do it this way, we plan to use approx 36 of these lights. We will turn the lights on for 2-3 hours 4-5 times per week. Are we crazy to use this type of light fixtures? I don't want to get a big surprise when the electric bill comes. Any ideas?? Any better options?? Thanks so much for your help.
