Hello-
My Frigidaire front loading washer (gemini 2000, serial Q803686) has a problem. I viewed applianceaid.com and throughout this site, but would like to get an answer to this question specifically.
The washer time works, the water does fill the drum. The drum however does not spin unless moved to the final spin cycle. I have not yet opened up the unit, however believe I smelled burning rubber the other day (approx. 4 loads ago). Does this sound like a belt problem. The unit was here when I purchased my condo and has been in use for the 3 years I have been using it. Is it the Belt? If not what else could it be? Am I better off getting a new unit? Because I am not sure on the age of the machine and what the repair may cost as far as time/parts.
